Moodle is a software used to created online coursework and websites for global students. Its free and an open source software package released under GNU public license. This is an international project developed to support a social interpreter framework of education. Through Moodle, its possible to create a free, common platform for global students to interact and exchange knowledge and ideas.

The key features of Moodle are:

1. Its a great incentive for tech savvy students to interact.

2. These records are ready for use 24/7 to students with an Internet connection – this should free teachers up from reprinting lost handouts.

3. Very useful for constructivist education.

4. Very useful way to securely archive documents you will use again.

5. Moodle tracks to the minute when a student has look a document, how much time they have used up in a forum, when they uploaded or posted a task, etc – great for student-led
conferencing!

6. Its now easier to grade projects- all teachers will have to do is open a file through an interface, read it over, make revisions in the file and send them if they wish, and lastly add a grade and comment.

7. If YRDSB goes forward with its plan to make all video buy streaming-video, a moodle will be a great interface for teachers to make videos valid to students.
