Geeklog is portal system with a wide range of modules. It is an open source portal system that can be used as story telling software, online community and many more. Geeklog content management system allows you to cope dynamic web content. It is developed in PHP and supports major databases such as MySQL, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL as the back-end database and this tutorial will help you in installation of GeekLog via fantastico/cpanel.
1) Login to cPanel >> Select Fantastico De Luxe >>
Left side you’ll see the list of content management systems.
2) Click on Geeklog >> Click on the new installation >>
(You will see the required disk space for Geeklog right below at new installation. Even though, there is an additional information, which will shows you the available disk space as wll. )
3) Now you will see the installation location, where you need to add following details.
a) Admin access data >> user name >> You need to enter the protected admin user name.
b) user password >> You need to enter the protected admin password.
4) Base configuration .
a) Admin e-mail (your email address) >> Enter an admin email address.
b) Site name >> Site name will be appeared by default.
c) Your site’s slogan >> Enter the site slogan in the box.
d) Preferred Language >> You can select language of your choice.
5) Click Install Geeklog button.
6) Following message will be appeared next.
a) The MySQL database and MySQL user abc_def will be created and used for this installation.
b) You chose to install in the main directory of the domain yourdomain.com
c) The access URL will be: http://yourdomain.com/
7) Click on Finish installation to continue.
You have successfully installed Geeklog in your account.

9) Click on the given link to login to your new installation.
